- ItemRuta Turística de aventura y naturaleza: “Quebrada Oscura, Mama Tepal y Cueva del Inca”, parroquia Santa Ana, cantón Cuenca, provincia del Azuay, Ecuador(Instituto Tecnológico Sudamericano, 2025) Michael Fabricio Tenelema DelgadoThe project carried out in the parish of Santa Ana, Cuenca canton, Azuay province, focuses on boosting the local economy and promoting sustainable tourism. The main issue is the lack of tourism promotion for the parish, which has limited its untapped tourism potential. The primary goal is to stimulate the local economy by implementing an adventure and nature tourism route, creating job opportunities and business prospects for residents. The methodology applied for the first two objectives was established by MINTUR, based on their "Manual of Tourist Attractions" and "Manual for the Creation of Tourist Routes and Itineraries." Additionally, surveys were conducted to understand the opinions and needs of the population, ensuring effective promotion of the proposed route. The novel findings include the connection of three natural attractions: Quebrada Oscura, Cerro de Mama Tepal, and Cueva del Inca, offering visitors a unique ecotourism and adventure experience. The results demonstrate the achievement of the objectives through the applied methodology. In conclusion, the implementation of this tourism route has the potential to transform the region by attracting tourists and boosting the local economy, while also contributing to the appreciation and preservation of the natural heritage. By promoting sustainable tourism, the aim is to ensure that future generations can continue to enjoy the parish of Santa Ana.
- ItemPropuesta para la creación de la Ruta Turística: Cascada de Tasqui, Complejo Turístico Yurag-Cocha y la Loma de Cazha en la parroquia de Santa Ana, cantón Cuenca, provincia del Azuay, Ecuador(Instituto Tecnológico Sudamericano, 2025) Mateo David Lazo LunaThe project aims to develop a proporsal for the creation of a tourist route in the parish of Santa Ana. It will include attractions such as the “Cascada de Tasqui”, “Centro Turístico Yurag-cocha” and “Loma de Cazha”, with the objective of promoting tourism in this region and local development. The problem identified in this research is the lack of recognition and promotion of these attractions. The lack of actions to integrate these sites into a route has led them to be little exploited, representing a challenge for the parish to position itself as a tourist attraction. For this research, a general objective was established and in order to achieve an integral development, three specific objectives were defined. As the first objective, a baseline analysis of the attractions of the tourist route was carried out. For this purpose, a documentary review was carried out, allowing for the compilation of the tourist cards corresponding to each attraction. As a second objective, the proposed tourist route was designed, with field visits and using geolocation tools. A trail was traced connecting the three attractions. In addition, proposed itineraries and a name for the route were developed, all based on the results of surveys to determine the public's preferences regarding the route. As a third objective, two promotional proposals were developed: a brochure and a promotional video, designed to increase public outreach. These promotions were presented to the GAD of the parish, reaching an agreement to hold meetings to disseminate these promotional tools among the local communities. This research achieved the established objectives, generating extra recommendations for the parish of Santa Ana in the area of tourism. The results demonstrate the potential of the proposed route to increase the recognition of the parish and consolidate it as an outstanding tourist destination.
- ItemPropuesta para creación de la Ruta Turística – Ecuestre Cuenca, Quingeo, Cuenca provincia del Azuay, Ecuador(Instituto Tecnológico Sudamericano, 2025) Paola Lizeth Puzhi SichaThe present project, titled "Proposal for the Creation of the Equestrian Tourist Route – Cuenca – Quingeo – Cuenca, Azuay Province, Ecuador," aims to contribute to the development of sustainable tourism in the parish of Quingeo through the creation of a route that highlights the area's natural and cultural attractions. First, a baseline analysis of the area's tourist attractions will be conducted, including the identification and evaluation of natural, cultural, and recreational resources. This will help to understand the current state of tourism in the region, identifying both its strengths and weaknesses. Factors such as accessibility, existing infrastructure, visitor perceptions, and the opinions of local residents—who are key to the success of any tourism initiative— will be taken into account. Based on this information, the Equestrian Tourist Route Cuenca – Quingeo – Cuenca will be designed, offering a unique experience that connects visitors with the area's nature and culture. This route will not only seek to attract national and international tourists but also promote local tourism, providing a sustainable alternative that benefits the community. Finally, a promotional plan for the Equestrian Tourist Route will be developed, including marketing and outreach strategies. The goal is to raise awareness of this new tourism offering, emphasizing its value not only as a recreational activity but also as a means of preserving cultural identity and promoting the economic development of the parish. Through this proposal, a positive impact on the local economy is expected, fostering a tourism model that respects and values the resources of Cuenca and Quingeo. Surveys and interviews will also be used as data collection methods to assess potential tourists' acceptance and interest in this Equestrian Tourist Route.
