Abstract
The purpose of this project is to propose the development of a digital historical guide of the most striking streets of the Historic Center of Cuenca province of Azuay, Ecuador with the support of the Direccion de Areas Historicas y Patrimoniales. With the purpose of offering brief and precise information to national and foreign tourists who visit our city. In the first chapter of the thesis the problem is addressed, in chapter two theoretical, conceptual, legal framework was made and in chapter three the research methodology of the main streets of the Historic Center is structured finally in chapter four The analysis and interpretation of results was carried out through interviews to conclude with the creation of the historical guide that allows a detailed reading of the illustrious characters that are recorded in the streets of Cuenca. Within the creation of the guide, the survey of the main streets is developed to continue with the study through a signing gathering brief information about its history, the conceptualization of the digital guide, the legal framework, the project technique that includes the description, the Design for structuring the guide. For the conclusion of this project, bibliographic research was also carried out through the field visit to libraries of different public entities to obtain better information results. According to the concept of (Sandoval Guerrero, 2017) of Cultural heritage and tourism are two areas of high interest for the tourist community at national and international level, because their relationship determines the tastes and preferences of visitors to their destinations; Based on this premise, this study aims to recognize the interrelation between them, identifying tourism products related to cultural tourism, due to the importance of the vital contribution to this sector of the country's economy. The methodology applied is based on the documentary analysis on heritage, cultural heritage, tourism and cultural tourism from the perspective of various theorists; On the other hand, there has been a statistical survey of movable heritage assets registered in the Ecuadorian Cultural Heritage Information System (SIPCE), of the National Heritage Institute (INPC) and which are part of Ecuador's tourism offer. The study revealed that the highest percentage of tourist concentration is located in destinations such as Quito, Guayaquil, Santa Elena and Cuenca, these spaces have attractions related to material cultural heritage, many of them cataloged and registered, while others have not yet been. Therefore, the existence of a considerable number of them was identified, which reflect the
essence, the symbolic and identity value of the peoples to which they belong; giving the visitor the cultural diversity of the country, due to its condition of being diverse and intercultural, evidenced by the exhibition of tangible and intangible heritage as a means of manifesting ideas, thoughts, desires, frustrations and needs.

El presente proyecto tiene como fin proponer la elaboración de una guía histórica digital de las calles más revolantes del Centro Histórico de Cuenca provincia del Azuay, Ecuador con el apoyo de la Dirección de Áreas Históricas y Patrimoniales. Con el propósito de ofrecer información breve y precisa a los turistas nacionales y extranjeros que visitan nuestra ciudad. En el primer capítulo de la tesis se despliega la problemática que aborda, en el capítulo dos se realizó marco teórico, conceptual, legal y en el capítulo tres se estructura la metodología de la investigación de las principales calles del Centro Histórico finalmente en el capítulo cuatro se ejecutó el análisis e interpretación de resultados mediante entrevistas para concluir con la creación de la guía histórica que permita una lectura detallada de los personajes ilustres que se encuentran grabados en las calles de Cuenca. Dentro de la creación de la guía se desarrolla el levantamiento de las principales calles para continuar con el estudio mediante un fichaje recopilando información breve sobre su historia, la conceptualización de guía digital, el marco legal, la técnica del proyecto que comprende la descripción, el diseño para la estructuración de la guía. Para la culminación de este proyecto se realizó investigación bibliográfica además mediante la visita de campo a bibliotecas de diferentes entidades públicas para obtener mejores resultados de información. Según el concepto de (Sandoval Guerrero,2017) de Patrimonio cultural y turismo son dos áreas de alto interés para la comunidad turística a nivel nacional e internacional, pues su relación, determina los gustos y preferencias de los visitantes hacia sus destinos; partiendo de esta premisa, el presente estudio tiene como finalidad reconocer la interrelación entre ellos, identificando los productos turísticos relacionados al turismo cultural, debido a la importancia del aporte intrínseco a este sector de la economía del país. La metodología aplicada parte del análisis documental sobre patrimonio, patrimonio cultural, turismo y turismo cultural desde el enfoque de diversos teóricos; por otro lado, se ha realizado un levantamiento estadístico de los bienes patrimoniales muebles registrados en el Sistema de Información del Patrimonio Cultural Ecuatoriano (SIPCE), del Instituto Nacional del Patrimonio (INPC) y que forman parte de la oferta turística del Ecuador. El estudio reveló que el mayor porcentaje de concentración turística se ubica en destinos como Quito, Guayaquil, Santa Elena y Cuenca, estos espacios guardan atractivos relacionados al patrimonio cultural material, muchos de ellos catalogados y registrados, mientras que otros aún no lo han sido. Por lo que se identificó la existencia de un número considerable de ellos, los cuales reflejan la esencia, el valor simbólico e identitario de los pueblos a los cuales pertenecen; dando entrever al visitante la diversidad cultural del país, por su condición de ser diverso e intercultural, evidenciada a través de la exposición del patrimonio tangible e intangible como medio de manifestación de ideas, pensamientos, deseos, frustraciones y necesidades.
