- ItemAlpha Braille: Diseño de dispositivo electrónico autónomo para la enseñanza aprendizaje de braille en ANVIZSUC(Instituto Tecnológico Superior Sudamericano, 2025) Gabriel Mateo Campo GuerreroThe Alpha Braille project presents the design of a autonomous electronic device aimed at supporting Braille literacy among individuals with visual impairments. The device integrates a tactile interface with auditory feedback to promote an interactive and multisensory learning experience. According to data from the National Council for the Equality of Disabilities (CONADIS, 2024), there are 56,644 people with impairments registered in Ecuador. Of these, 3,714 are in the province of Azuay and 1,341 in Cañar. Although Azuay has a larger population (801,609, (Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Censos (INEC), 2024)) Cañar has a higher proportion of visually impaired individuals relative to its population (227,578, (Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Censos (INEC), 2024)).

The attacks and strategies that are generated to obtain this sensitive information are evolving day after day, which has generated that people focus on the development of methodologies, as an efficient response to incidents regarding the loss of information from devices of storage, all this is part of the forensic computer science which integrates methodologies and procedures that are indispensable in the processing of evidence through the correct use of the chain of custody, allowing the computer experts to collect clues and protect them, because they can arrive be sustainable or probative results to resolve any conflict in the east involved storage devices.
- ItemAnálisis de riesgo de seguridad de la información para la infraestructura de la empresa Four Points by Sheraton Cuenca(Instituto Tecnológico Superior Sudamericano, 2019) Erika Belén Ávila CaguanaThis work aims to develop a risk analysis for the Four Points by Sheraton Cuenca Company based on the MAGERIT methodology allowing to provide an adequate security solution for the most important assets, focusing on creating preventive measures to reduce the probability of incidents and contributing with the education of the employees that handle sensitive information in the company. The project is made up of six chapters, with the following content: The first chapter presents the problem to be solved by asking questions to establish a start in the development of the project, the scope and limitations are defined. In the second chapter there is the elaboration of the theoretical-conceptual framework to define the theoretical foundation of the project and to establish the bases of its development specifying the most relevant concepts. The third chapter presents the methodologies chosen for the development of the risk analysis and the justification of the choice based on the requirements of the organization. In the fourth chapter there is the analysis and interpretation of the results that were made known through the development of the project, the analysis of the results of the survey and the safety shortcomings found in the risk analysis. In the last chapter, the stages and phases used for the development of the proposal are presented in detail, proposing the solution of risk mitigation and the creation of a manual of good practices aimed at employees who handle confidential company information. Finally, the schedule of activities, conclusions, commendations, bibliography and annexes are found that show the results of the project application.

The departments of technical service, sales, collections, accounting, management do not have the necessary communication, so they waste time when making inquiries, generating badly to be between them and with third parties. In addition, lowering expenses a bit in terms of telephony is a factor that they need to attend because they have one line per location; as a company, they have the vision of continuing to expand, so it is ideal to centralize the communication so that it can redirect calls directly between the departments of both the main premises and the branches that the company owns so that confidentiality, integrity is maintained , availability without forgetting the security when interconnecting the premises.

Con la finalidad de cubrir esta necesidad, se pone en pie una aplicación web y su respectivo despliegue para dispositivos móviles, llamada “Check In”, la cual brinda la función de agendar citas de manera online, según el servicio y producto requerido y disponible en el spa, además que se podrá agendar en el horario más accesible para el cliente. La aplicación móvil cuenta con una interfaz de usuario sencilla, que es fácil de entender, además cuenta con dos tipos de perfiles, administrador y cliente, teniendo ciertas funciones a realizar. En la app, los usuarios también pueden seleccionar el servicio que requiera según el catálogo del spa, puesto que, según el registro, cada persona cuenta con un perfil único. Con este proyecto se busca mejorar la administración del negocio y agilizar el proceso de reserva de citas para los usuarios. Como resultado final conseguir una mejor organización y en el mejor de los casos, una mayor afluenza de ingresos y clientes potenciales.

For its construction it has been necessary to address concepts related to mobile applications and connection to a database. For the development of the application we have used the scrum methodology, which is an agile methodology that motivates us to have team commitment achieving better productivity, autonomy and self-organization. Scrum reduced the risks as each developer fulfills the assigned functions, obtaining a quality end product in less time. Each of the sprints made within the project has allowed to achieve the results proposed in the objectives, generating an app that will help the student of gastronomy.

This project was carried out using the qualitative methodology through which an interview was conducted with the rector Mgs. Maria Luisa Verdugo in order to determine how important the app will be for the institution. This mobile application is developed using PHP code, which is a programming language to create easy-to-use applications and websites, being an option for those who wish to work on qualified and uncomplicated projects with the purpose of facilitating the information that is managed with the base of MYSQL data to obtain the fulfillment of the activities and the correct functioning.
- ItemAplicación móvil para el control de asistencia y órdenes de trabajo de la fábrica Mueblería Romero(Instituto Tecnológico Superior Sudamericano, 2023) Christian Andrés Cuzco ArévaloThe attendance control systems are essential in any company, since they allow to control the fulfillment of the working hours of the employees. The objective of this research was to automate the control of attendance and work orders since there are currently no systematized mechanisms that facilitate this activity, so the manager of the Mueblería Romero factory uses the manual method to carry out this attendance control, it requires a set of problems, such as the probability error in the transcription and the possible forgetfulness in attendance. This research presents the development of an automated solution that allows to control attendance and manage work orders, an application developed for mobile devices with Android Operating System. In the end, it was possible to solve the problem of working hours, automate the attendance control process capable of generating reports in real time, quickly, safely and efficiently. It is concluded that the results obtained facilitate the recording of the working hours of the company's employees, since the automation produced by the company allows for reliable recording of the active hours of the employees.
- ItemAplicación móvil para el registro canino, usando sistemas de registro biométrico de alta fidelidad(Instituto Superior Tecnológico Particular Sudamericano, 2025) Lituma Sumba Miguel Leonardo; Pulgarin Fernández Diego GabrielThis study focuses on the development of a biometric identification system for pets based on nose print recognition using computer vision and artificial intelligence. The problem addressed is the high number of lost pets in the city of Cuenca and the lack of an effective technological system for their identification, which impacts animal welfare, public health, and municipal management. The main objective is to design and implement a system capable of accurately registering and recognizing each pet through a mobile application and a backend that stores biometric information. The methodology followed was applied and correlational research, combined with an agile development framework based on Scrum, and guided by international standards such as ISO/IEC 25010 and ISO/IEC/IEEE 42010 to ensure software quality, sustainability, and institutional compatibility. The novelty of this project lies in adapting human facial recognition technologies to the animal context, specifically by using the nose print as a unique identifier. Key findings demonstrate that it is feasible to capture valid images using standard mobile cameras and process them through tools like OpenCV and convolutional neural networks to generate reliable biometric templates. The results show that the system is technically viable, functionally scalable, and suitable for integration with public or private institutions to enhance population control, responsible adoption, and abandonment reporting.

Therefore, within the framework of technological implementation in the health field, a mobile application has been developed for managing personalized training and nutrition plans at Arnold Gym in Cuenca, Ecuador. The problem is the personalization and efficiency in the management of the plans offered to improve the experience and results of the users of the establishment. The mobile application uses modern technologies and agile methodologies to improve the experience and results of users by personalizing their training and nutrition plans. The development consists of a mixed approach, combining quantitative and qualitative techniques; for this, React Native is used for the frontend, Node.js and Express.js for the backend, and Firebase for authentication and database. The developed mobile application significantly improves the management of personalized plans at Arnold Gym, providing an efficient and accessible tool that meets the specific needs of users, as well as optimizing the work of personal trainers.

The identified problem lies in the difficulty tourists and visitors face when trying to efficiently organize their outings, especially when they seek experiences tailored to their budget, type of group, personal interests, and logistical needs such as reservations or parking. The main objective is to provide a technological tool that allows users to plan their activities in a dynamic, simple, and preference-based manner, thus optimizing their time and overall experience in the area. An agile, user-centered development methodology was applied, including requirements gathering, interactive prototype design, and functional testing. As a key innovation, the app features an intelligent recommendation system for routes and establishments, along with a real-time interactive map for booking tables—providing added value over traditional tourist guides. Among the most relevant results is the integration of personalized filters that allow tourists to receive suggestions aligned with their profile and easily visualize the services available in San Blas. In conclusion, CONDORTRIP offers an innovative solution to strengthen tourism in a historically and culturally significant area of Cuenca, facilitating a more organized, engaging, and user-oriented experience

La misma que necesita aprovechar sus recursos para mejorar sus condiciones de trabajo y eficacia que se han visto trabados por estos problemas de organización y del mal gestiona miento. Lo que se llevara a cabo es una aplicación móvil de gestión de bodega y asistencia de obreros de la anteriormente mencionada constructora, ya que una vez identificado los procesos que se llevan a cabo para la gestión de la bodega y asistencia se reconoció que los mismos se hacían de una manera muy ambigua y lo que se busca es agilizar los procesos y así facilitarlos de la mejor forma posible al igual que facilitar el proceso de registro de asistencia de los obreros, además así ayudar a generar reportes estadísticos de la asistencia y así tener un control de días laborados de los mismos. Así se obtendrá resultados como agilizar todos estos procesos dentro de la constructora ya que era una tarea tediosa para el encargado de la gestión tanto de bodega como de la asistencia, además de tener un incremento de eficacia en los mismos.
- ItemAplicación móvil para la gestión de finanzas personales de las personas en edad laborable de la ciudad de Cuenca en el sector Misicata.(Instituto Tecnologico Superior Sudamericano, 2022) Henry Sebastián Minchala CalleCon el presente trabajo de grado se pretende dar a conocer a las personas en edad laborable, que van desde los 23 hasta los 50 años, de la ciudad de Cuenca en el sector Misicata sobre la problemática o dificultades que ha traído el incorrecto manejo del dinero. En la primera parte del trabajo se realizó una agrupación de algunos referentes teóricos que sustentan, apoyan, describen el proceso de la educación financiera y se dan pautas para llevar a cabo un buen manejo de sus finanzas hecho en base al diagnóstico realizado por medio de encuestas a 40 personas, que concluyó un control limitado del dinero que causa inestabilidad financiera, endeudamiento e imposibilidad de ahorrar para el futuro. En la segunda parte se encuentra la temática a investigar enfocado a las finanzas de las personas en edad laborable, por último, se encontrará la metodología utilizada, el análisis y resultados, realizados al objeto de estudio, en donde se evidenció la necesidad de desarrollar una aplicación para dispositivos móviles enfocada a la gestión de las finanzas personales, con un sistema basado en el método de gamificación de las finanzas, que provea herramientas a las personas en el proceso de gestión financiera, agregando valor al incorporar guías de educación financiera, un módulo de logros para evidenciar el progreso realizado y notificaciones que alerten sobre próximos pagos o gastos que exceden el presupuesto. Con esta propuesta se pretende que los habitantes del sector Misicata adquieran consciencia del uso del dinero mediante el ahorro para enfrentarse de la mejor manera a imprevistos, ya que muchas personas sufren problemas financieros sin saber de dónde vienen
- ItemAplicación responsiva para el control de asistencia de los estudiantes a eventos académicos del Instituto Superior Tecnológico Sudamericano(Instituto Tecnológico Superior Sudamericano, 2024) John Carlos Landi TenemeaThis application establishes a methodology to follow for the control and registration of attendance at events inside and outside the establishment (ITS) located in the city of Cuenca. Research has been taken on the topic of institutional development and innovation, because the institution has systems where events are created, but as the tutors in charge do not have a system to fulfill verification and assistance functions. The South American Higher Technological Institute seeks to modernize the administrative procedures related to the monitoring of students in academic activities, which are currently carried out manually, generating problems in the control and adequate registration of the monitoring. Which proposes to apply structures to develop a responsive application that satisfies the administrative needs of ITS, taking advantage of the concept of automated systems to guide development and determine the appropriate programming language. The main purpose of this research is to increase performance with those responsible, during the respective events. It is proposed that those in charge have a mobile application on their devices, through which they can register in the system with their personal data. Once registered, they will be able to take student attendance and create events, as well as view attendance from the start of the event. The application will also allow the responsible authorities to verify the records of the students. To investigate this problem, research was carried out with an explanatory approach, using quantitative methods. Forms were developed with questions addressed to those responsible and in charge to collect information about the problems associated with monitoring events. The statistical analysis of these responses allowed us to interpret the data obtained, both positive and negative. The expected solution is to expand the benefit through mobile applications within the field of education, especially in the administrative management of event attendance.

By contrast, fine motor skills focus on precise control of small muscles, essential for tasks like writing and buttoning. For full development and successful interaction with the environment, both skills are essential; Because of this, the problem would be that children from 3 to 6 years old may experience delays in their physical maturation and cognitive abilities due to problems with their gross and fine motor skills. Your ability to navigate your environment and perform daily tasks effectively can be hampered by a lack of coordination in large, complex movements. The objective of the research was to develop a responsive application that helps children from 3 to 6 years of age to improve gross and fine motor stimulation, the application has optimal exercises so that the child can improve their psychomotor performance, therefore , the methodology that was used for the investigation was the mixed methodology since several surveys and interviews were carried out for more information from professionals, also, the coordination and balance of the child will improve significantly by using the application of gross and fine motor skills, their dexterity manual and manipulation skills will also improve significantly; The motor app will prove to be an effective tool for improving children's coordination and motor skills, providing a playful and stimulating approach to their physical and cognitive development.

To solve this problem, it is proposed to develop a web application that uses artificial intelligence as a debate moderator, and encourages active and balanced participation, promoting a dynamic learning environment. The application has an intuitive interface that allows all students to participate, the integration of artificial intelligence facilitates the organization of ideas and maintains order in discussions allowing students to develop communicative and cognitive skills. As a result, students recognize the benefits in terms of interaction, development of interpersonal skills, quality of arguments, and confidence when speaking in various aspects related to participation and influence in academic activities.

To achieve this goal, we must first gather the requirements of the application, model the database, and implement the business logic on the server. The importance of the project lies in the fact that OLA does not have a digital system to manage its sales, which can become an issue when handling sales with forms and different clients. The development is carried out using the Scrum methodology. A key feature of the application is the generation of dynamic PDFs to automate the creation of forms. The results have shown improvement and a positive reception from the company OLA in the use of the application. Additionally, the application fulfills its main function, the creation and management of sales.
- ItemAplicación web de monitoreo y alerta temprana de incendios forestales basado en IoT para zonas rurales vulnerables en Cuenca(Instituto Superior Tecnológico Particular Sudamericano, 2025) Puchi Bermejo Jeremy MateoWildfires in Cuenca pose a significant threat to ecosystems, rural areas, and public health. This study presents the development of a web application based on IoT (Internet of Things) to detect and alert about forest fires. The system collects data on critical parameters such astemperature, hu midity, and smoke detection using the lightweight MQTT communication protocol, with HiveMQ as an intermediary. All collected data is stored in a database and displayed on the web application through line graphs, enabling intuitive identification of potential fire outbreaks and helping reduce response times for authorities. The web application was developed using the SCRUM framework due to its adaptability, transparency, and incremental early deliveries, alongside a quantitative research methodology that included surveys to assess the importance of the device and system. The results demonstrated that the sensors effectively detected anomalies and transmitted the data to the web application, where it was visualized through line graphs for better intuitive understanding. However, expanding sensor coverage and strengthening communication technologies in rural areas with limited connectivity remains necessary

The main problem lies in the inefficient communication between the residents of the Rayoloma neighborhood and local authorities, which hinders the proper management of these services. In this context, the main objective is to design a technological tool that facilitates the submission of reports in a simple and organized manner, allowing authorities to prioritize and efficiently manage requests. To achieve this, the Scrum methodology is employed, enabling the application to be developed in continuous improvement cycles, where new functionalities are incorporated and adjustments are made according to the needs of users and authorities in each iteration. As an innovative contribution, the application will feature an interactive interface that allows reports to be managed based on the type of affected service. Additionally, it will integrate digital tools to optimize communication and administrative management. In the long term, the expected results include an improvement in the interaction between citizens and authorities, as well as public service management in general. In summary, this project aims to strengthen the administration of basic services, making it more efficient, accessible, and solution-oriented for community issues.
- ItemAplicación web para diagnosticar la depresión en los estudiantes del Instituto Tecnológico Sudamericano(Instituto Tecnológico Superior Sudamericano, 2024) Juan Pablo Malla Loja; Josué David Matailo LalaDepression is a widespread mental illness that negatively affects both physical and mental health, particularly among university students who face academic and social pressures. In Ecuador, especially in the province of Azuay, there is a notable lack of research on the impact of depression on students, which limits the development of effective interventions. In this context, the aim of this work is to develop and implement a web application using React to diagnose depression in students at the Instituto Tecnologico Sudamericano using the Beck Test. A quantitative methodology was employed, applying the SCRUM method and utilizing technologies such as React, Laravel 10, DBeaver, PostgreSQL, and Vite.js. The novelty of this research lies in the creation of an innovative tool that facilitates the identification and management of depression. The application provides a user-friendly interface for both students and psychologists, incorporating specific fea tures such as login, the Beck Test, a contact tab, and an administrator statistics section. The results indicate that the application has been well received, excelling in efficiency and ease of use, with high user satisfaction. In conclusion, the web application has proven to be successful in terms of design and functionality, enhancing diagnostic capabilities and promoting mental health within the educational environment of the Instituto Tecnologico Sudamericano.
