Abstract
The present project, titled "Proposal for the Creation of the Equestrian Tourist Route – Cuenca – Quingeo – Cuenca, Azuay Province, Ecuador," aims to contribute to the
development of sustainable tourism in the parish of Quingeo through the creation of a route that highlights the area's natural and cultural attractions. First, a baseline analysis of the area's tourist attractions will be conducted, including the identification and evaluation of natural, cultural, and recreational resources. This will help to understand the current state of tourism in the region, identifying both its strengths and weaknesses. Factors such as accessibility, existing infrastructure, visitor perceptions, and the opinions of local residents—who are key to the success of any tourism initiative— will be taken into account. Based on this information, the Equestrian Tourist Route Cuenca – Quingeo – Cuenca will be designed, offering a unique experience that connects visitors with the area's nature and culture. This route will not only seek to attract national and international tourists
but also promote local tourism, providing a sustainable alternative that benefits the community. Finally, a promotional plan for the Equestrian Tourist Route will be developed, including marketing and outreach strategies. The goal is to raise awareness of this new tourism offering, emphasizing its value not only as a recreational activity but also as a
means of preserving cultural identity and promoting the economic development of the parish. Through this proposal, a positive impact on the local economy is expected, fostering
a tourism model that respects and values the resources of Cuenca and Quingeo. Surveys and interviews will also be used as data collection methods to assess potential tourists' acceptance and interest in this Equestrian Tourist Route.

El presente proyecto, titulado "Propuesta para la Creación de la Ruta Turística – Ecuestre, Cuenca – Quingeo – Cuenca, Provincia del Azuay, Ecuador", busca contribuir al
desarrollo del turismo sostenible en la parroquia Quingeo a través de la creación de una ruta que resalte los atractivos naturales y culturales del área. En primer lugar, se llevará a cabo un análisis de la línea base de los atractivos turísticos del área, que incluye la identificación y evaluación de recursos naturales, culturales y recreativos. Esto permitirá comprender el panorama actual del turismo en la zona, destacando tanto sus fortalezas como sus debilidades. Se considerarán aspectos como la accesibilidad, la infraestructura existente y las percepciones de los visitantes, así como la opinión de los habitantes locales, quienes son clave para el éxito de cualquier iniciativa turística.A partir de esta información, se procederá a diseñar la Ruta Turística-Ecuestre Cuenca – Quingeo – Cuenca, que ofrecerá una experiencia única que conecte a los visitantes con la naturaleza y la cultura de la zona. Esta ruta no solo buscará atraer a turistas nacionales e internacionales, sino también fomentar el turismo local, proporcionando una alternativa sostenible que beneficie a la comunidad. Por último, se elaborará una propuesta de promoción de la Ruta Turística-Ecuestre, que incluirá estrategias de marketing y divulgación. El objetivo es dar a conocer esta nueva oferta turística, resaltando su valor no solo como una actividad recreativa, sino también como una forma de preservar la identidad cultural y promover el desarrollo económico de la parroquia. Con esta propuesta, se espera generar un impacto positivo en la economía local y fomentar un modelo de turismo que respete y valore los recursos de Cuenca y Quingeo. En este presente proyecto se emplearán a su vez encuestas y entrevistas como métodos de recolección de datos, con el fin de evaluar la aceptación y el interés de los posibles turistas hacia esta ruta Turística-Ecuestre.
