Abstract
The present study aims to strengthen the skills of first-time mothers and fathers at the Humanitarian Hospital Pablo Jaramillo Crespo Foundation (HH - FPJC) through a
digital guide. Accordingly, the research responds to a case study where a quantitative approach with a descriptive scope was used to achieve the stated objectives. Primary
data was collected through surveys directed at first-time parents at HH - FPJC. From the discussion of results, it was found that the respondents perceive negative aspects
in infant care, particularly in how to respond to the motor and emotional needs that the baby requires. Additionally, the emotional burden experienced by first-time mothers
and fathers was identified. These findings led to the development of a digital guide on early stimulation in the psychomotor and emotional development of infants.
Understanding elements such as the main problems that arise in infant care and identifying related issues allowed for a literature review and interviews with specialists
in the field, providing efficient guidance on how to act in such situations. Regarding the guide's design, the program InDesign was used to structure the digital guide,
following the seven-phase design process of Ambrose and Harris.

El presente estudio busca fortalecer las habilidades de madres y padres primerizos del Hospital Humanitario Fundación Pablo Jaramillo Crespo (HH - FPJC), a partir de una guía digital. De acuerdo a esto, la investigación responde a un estudio de caso, en donde para llegar a los objetivos planteados se utilizó un enfoque cuantitativo, con alcance descriptivo; se recopilaron datos primarios a través de la aplicación de encuestas dirigidas a padres y madres primerizas del HH - FPJC. A partir de la discusión de resultados se obtuvo que para los y las encuestadas el cuidado del infante tienen aspectos negativos, en cuanto a cómo responder a aquellas necesidades motoras y afectivas que el bebé necesita, a esto se suma la carga emocional que se presenta en la vida del padre y madre primeriza. Esto a su vez permitió la elaboración de una guía digital sobre estimulación temprana en el desarrollo psicomotor y afectivo del lactante, debido a que a partir de comprender elementos como los principales problemas que se presentan en el cuidado del infante e identificar las afecciones que trae consigo, permitió realizar revisión documental y entrevistas a especialistas en el área que fundamenten de manera eficiente cómo actuar ante tales situaciones. En cuanto al diseño de la guía, se utilizó el programa Indesign para llevar a cabo la estructura de la guía digital, bajo el proceso de diseño de Ambrose y Harris que contempla siete fases.
