Abstract
Training is an educational process applied in a systematic and organized way through which people acquire specific knowledge related to their work. Many times some strategies used in training do not meet people's expectations. For this reason, the Detection of Training Needs is a fundamental pillar for designing and implementing a correct qualification plan that leads to the achievement of organizational objectives. Based on the information obtained from the training needs diagnosis, we can cover the shortcomings that the artisan has when carrying out his work. In tune with these arguments, the Municipal Handicraft Center of Cuenca CEMUART, is conformed by an important group of 82 artisans that are dedicated to the production and commercialization of handcrafted products, rescuing, this way, the tradition and culture of the City of Cuenca. The trainings that have been made, are thanks to the support of other institutions, same that do not obey to a study of the specific needs of this important group. The present investigation makes a contribution to this institution by means of the study of the training needs, the elaboration of a proposal of quality and attention to the client. In this way, the group of artisans will have an alternative that will allow them to improve their work in a qualified way.

La capacitación es un proceso educacional aplicado de manera sistemática y organizada mediante la cual, las personas adquieren conocimientos específicos y relativos a su trabajo. Muchas veces algunas estrategias utilizadas en la capacitación, no llenan las expectativas de las personas. Por tal razón la Detección de Necesidades de Capacitación es un pilar fundamental para diseñar e implementar un plan correcto de cualificación que conlleven al logro de los objetivos organizacionales. A partir de la información obtenida con el diagnóstico de necesidades de capacitación podemos cubrir las falencias que posee el artesano al realizar su trabajo. En sintonía a estos argumentos, el Centro Municipal Artesanal de Cuenca CEMUART, está conformado por un importante grupo de 82 artesanos que se dedican a la producción y comercialización de productos artesanales, rescatando, de esta manera, la tradición y cultura de la Ciudad de Cuenca. Las capacitaciones que se han realizado, son gracias al apoyo de otras instituciones, mismas que no obedecen a un estudio de las necesidades específicas de este importante grupo. La presente investigación hace un aporte a esta institución mediante el estudio de las necesidades de capacitación, la elaboración de una propuesta de calidad y atención al cliente. De esta manera, el grupo de artesanos contara con una alternativa que les permita mejorar su trabajo de una manera cualificada.
