Integración de IA en el Aula Virtual del Tecnológico Sudamericano mediante un plugin para la generación automática de cuestionarios
(Instituto Superior Tecnológico Particular Sudamericano, 2025) Puchi Tenesaca Víctor Armando
This study addresses the integration of artificial intelligence in the generation of quizzes in Moodle through the development of the AIAQuiz plugin, which automates the creation of questions for assessments in virtual educational environments. The identified problem lies in the time and effort that teachers invest in manually creating quizzes, which may limit the frequency and quality of evaluations. Given this issue, the main objective was to develop and implement a plugin for Moodle that optimizes the quiz creation process using AI, allowing for the automatic and configurable generation of questions. The methodology used was based on a descriptive and experimental approach, including a literature review on the application of AI in educational environments, the design and development of the plugin, and its testing in Moodle to validate its functionality and compatibility. The novelty of this work lies in the implementation of a modular system that enables teachers to define parameters such as question type, difficulty level, and topic, ensuring greater personalization in the generation of assessments. The results show that AIAQuiz significantly reduces the time required to create quizzes, ensuring native integration with Moodle and providing an intuitive interface for teachers. Additionally, during its development, opportunities for improvement were identified in advanced question customization and the integration of the plugin with other Moodle modules. In conclusion, AIAQuiz represents an advancement in the automation of educational processes, optimizing teachers' workload and establishing a foundation for future research on the application of AI in education.
