Many times some strategies used in training do not meet people's expectations. For this reason, the Detection of Training Needs is a fundamental pillar for designing and implementing a correct qualification plan that leads to the achievement of organizational objectives. Based on the information obtained from the training needs diagnosis, we can cover the shortcomings that the artisan has when carrying out his work. In tune with these arguments, the Municipal Handicraft Center of Cuenca CEMUART, is conformed by an important group of 82 artisans that are dedicated to the production and commercialization of handcrafted products, rescuing, this way, the tradition and culture of the City of Cuenca. The trainings that have been made, are thanks to the support of other institutions, same that do not obey to a study of the specific needs of this important group. The present investigation makes a contribution to this institution by means of the study of the training needs, the elaboration of a proposal of quality and attention to the client. In this way, the group of artisans will have an alternative that will allow them to improve their work in a qualified way.
