Diseño de kit lúdico de entretenimiento para niños de 6 a 8 años en base al periodo formativo dirigido al Museo Pumapungo de Cuenca
(Instituto de Tecnologías Sudamericano, 2024) María Valentina Picón Ávila
The thesis addresses the need to create innovative teaching material at the Pumapungo Museum, specifically aimed at children ages 6 to 8 who visit the archeology room. Despite the relevance of teaching materials in the education of children, the museum lacks interactive resources in this area, which affects the educational experience of younger visitors. The proposal focuses on a Playful Kit that includes a memory game, an interactive Pop-Up story, two puzzles, a coloring book and stickers, designed to stimulate children's curiosity and memory, promoting cognitive connections. The problem highlights the importance of teaching material in early childhood and points out the lack of interactive resources in the museum's archeology room. The need to involve children autonomously in the learning process is mentioned, overcoming the limitation of non-manipulative models. The rationale underlines the importance of meeting the educational needs of children aged 6 to 8 years through a didactic and fun approach. The Play Kit is expected to benefit both the museum and visitors, enhancing children's cultural and educational experience. The general and specific objectives of the thesis focus on the creation of a complete recreational kit based on the Training Period, using digital illustration. Gathering information about the period and children's learning, creating attractive sketches, developing digital proposals and applying the material in the archeology room are key steps to achieve this goal. In summary, the thesis seeks to demonstrate how the implementation of a Leisure Kit at the Pumapungo Museum can improve the learning experience of children aged 6 to 8, providing an innovative and attractive approach to museum education.
