Creación de mascota corporativa y campaña de lanzamiento para fortalecer la identidad institucional del Consejo Cantonal de Protección de Derechos de Cuenca
(Instituto Superior Tecnológico Particular Sudamericano, 2026) Flores Lojano Erick Santiago; Tapia Tapia Mike Joshue
This project and research project addresses the need to strengthen the institutional communication of the “Cantonal Council for the Protection of Rights of Cuenca” by creating an institutional mascot as a strategic solution for identity and community engagement. This need arises from the limited emotional connection between the institution and the vulnerable groups it supports, highlighting the importance of implementing visual resources that foster empathy, understanding, and recognition. This proposal comprises the graphic, strategic, and conceptual development of a character as a visual identity and representative, accompanied by a methodological process. Through surveys and interviews with citizens and experts in the field, important perceptions, expectations, concepts, and symbolic elements for the character's development were identified. The analysis revealed the need for a friendly, approachable, and communicative resource capable of conveying values significant to the institution. As a result, a visual identity structured around a coherent graphic style was created, along with a participatory launch campaign designed to meaningfully involve the community in the naming and adoption process for the mascot. This method will foster an emotional connection, a sense of belonging, and validation of the character as the institution's visual identity. The results demonstrate that graphic design, when grounded in research and community participation, can become a vital and transformative tool within the institutional context. This project, as a proposal, highlights the effectiveness of a well-structured visual system, strengthening the connection with a community and providing the institution with more accessible, human, and representative communication.
