El fortalecimiento cognitivo enfocado a la demencia senil con el desarrollo de un panel de colores
(Instituto de Tecnologías Sudamericano, 2020) Romel Patricio Pucha-Quito; Pedro José Valarezo-Argudo
Senile dementia is a disorder of reason that involves a progressive and irreversible deterioration of mental faculties. This disorder not only causes memory loss, it also affects the ability to reason and learn, and over time it affects the personality. The investigation of this pathology focuses on cognitive strengthening to delay the onset or progress of it. Cognitive impairment in general has a great impact on families, due to the conditions that cause the patient. The studies carried out in the deterioration (both in the functional and cognitive part) orient us on this type of apoptosis that demonstrate that through simple but continuous games the neural connections are strengthened to delay the onset or progress of the deterioration. Thus, an electronic device was developed that, through direct interaction with the patient, strengthens neuronal connections by slowing cognitive decline through color-related numbers. A strategic investigation of the elderly was carried out with a qualitative approach and was designed in wood (MDF and plywood), a free hardware electronic board and multicolored led lights, so that the patient interacts with the colors; the same ones that vary randomly and are related to a particular number between 1 and 9, the results obtained in each play were stored in a database in the cloud for an effective control of the patient.
