Diseño de una serie de comics para concientizar el abandono de animales domésticos, en colaboración con el GAD Municipal de Cuenca dentro del Área de CGA
(Instituto de Tecnologías Sudamericano, 2024) Patricio Alexander Ureña Ramón
The general objective of the project is to raise awareness among children and adolescents aged 10 to 18 about the abandonment of domestic animals through the use and creation of a series of comics as a means of dissemination titled “Glimmers of Hope”. The comic series consists of 3 issues that creatively and easily understandable, tell stories inspired by real cases but modified to be suitable for the target audience. The project aims to intertwine with the reader is emotions, as well as to explain the life of an abandoned animal and the dangers they face. The 3 comics use a different analogous color scheme, with the aim of giving each one its own identity. The three colors were selected according to the feeling they should convey to the reader, based on research within the field of color psychology. The narration is supported by reliable and justified information, as research was conducted on the causes that produce the problem. The typography and layout were chosen and developed in a way that makes it easy to follow continuity within the story. In this way, it is hoped that the comics will empathize with the readers and, in addition to becoming tools for change, information, and learning for children and adolescents.
