Diseño de un catálogo con realidad aumentada de las piezas de la reserva del Centro Interamericano de Artesanías y Artes Populares (CIDAP).
(Instituto de Tecnologías Sudamericano, 2022) Melissa Alejandra Jiménez Puglla
CIDAP is the third oldest institution in the Americas, dedicated to promoting craftsmanship. It has more than 7000 pieces from all over Latin America, it is an institution with an abundant cultural and artisanal wealth. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, its doors are closed to the public and the need arises to propose a new way of interacting with it. Thanks to the advanced technology we currently have and taking into account that museums have always opted for traditional methods, the idea of applying augmented reality in CIDAP is developed, with the aim of reaching people through technology in a creative and innovative way. A catalog is created with augmented reality of the pieces of the CIDAP reserve. After a long planning process, thanks to the use of different tools and applying the methodology of Bruce Archer, it is possible to obtain a useful, innovative and informative product about the pieces of CIDAP.
