Realidad aumentada aplicada a los juegos tradicionales del Centro Geriátrico “Miguel León” de la ciudad de Cuenca
(Instituto de Tecnologías Sudamericano, 2023) Marlon Ismael Vázquez Fernández
The traditional Games frame the customs of a certain region, which comes to make the essence of older adults from generation to generation. In Ecuador it is much more notorious since traditional games are part of the representative folklore of our ancestors, so that on certain dates and places these traditional activities can be observed more frequently, practiced by older people, which is why which every day is losing these beautiful traditions of traditional games, which not only help to integrate the family and community but even more important to preserve the national identity. The city of Cuenca is one of the cities that still preserve customs and traditions, unfortunately globalization, consumerism, modernization and technology have made young people leave forgetting this tradition. Although it is true that technology is a great disadvantage for them, but the poor use of these and the little control of the time that children and young people dedicate to these activities have caused the traditions in Cuenca to be gradually lost. This investigation was carried out with 10 elderly people in the "MIGUEL LEÓN" GERIATRIC CENTER, which served to collect the criteria on traditional games. After tabulating the results obtained, it was concluded that older adults do not forget traditions when they were young, so it is recommended to take more into account the dissemination, socialization and the importance of maintaining the traditions of our peoples. and especially in traditional games, which will not only serve us for integration but also to maintain a good lifestyle in our town.
