This degree project showcases the process behind creating a photographic and narrative magazine called “Tiwii” that will be published in a hybrid format, showcasing both the visual identity and the personality of emerging bands in the city of Cuenca. Rather than presenting a strictly professional perspective on each band, the magazine will offer a more intimate and personal view, allowing readers to feel a stronger connection to each band. This project claims to provide these bands with a launchpad for their careers, as well as to offer them visibility and recognition. As an added value, the project includes recorded interviews with the ten participating bands and an advertising campaign for an event centered on the magazine’s launch and a discussion session where the bands can connect more closely with their target audience. All of this is accompanied by an editorial design that features a defined visual narrative and a distinct identity, demonstrating that design does more than simply decorate—it also generates anticipation, visibility, and recognition for the client, while simultaneously contributing to the preservation of the local music culture.
