Hearing impairment refers to the partial or total loss of the ability to hear sounds. On the other hand, language impairment involves difficulties in the comprehension or production of language, affecting oral and written communication. The main objective of this project is to improve the communication of children with these conditions through the implementation of didactic resources. A didactic book was designed that includes photographs to show everyday actions and how they express themselves through sign language. In addition, a support book was developed for teachers and parents to serve as a guide on the use of sign language. To support this graphic proposal, information was collected through surveys to parents of hearing impaired children, as well as interviews with teachers of the Institute of Cerebral Palsy of Azuay (IPCA), where the material will be implemented, since the institution has learning resources improvised by the teachers themselves, which hinders the development in the education of children. This project seeks to facilitate the inclusion and improve the quality of life of children with these special needs, promoting a better understanding and communication in their educational and social environment.
