The project to create an illustrated magazine on the importance of clinical analyzes and occupational medicine for the Medbiolab laboratory in Cuenca, Ecuador, aims to inform and educate the community about preventive health practices and occupational safety. The magazine is based on graphic design principles applied to visual communication, taking advantage of theories and models of editorial design and illustrated publications to create attractive and accessible content. Graphic design plays a crucial role in the organization and presentation of information, using principles such as alignment, proximity, repetition, contrast and balance to ensure clear and effective communication. Gestalt theories and models such as the modular grid and typographic design provide a solid structure for the creation of the magazine, allowing for a hierarchical and visually coherent arrangement of elements. The project also addresses the problem of ignorance and lack of access to information about clinical analyzes and occupational medicine practices in Cuenca. The magazine seeks to fill this information gap by creating visual and textual content that highlights the benefits of preventive health and workplace safety, promoting a culture of well-being in the community. To ensure the success of the magazine, a series of recommendations have been developed, including user-centered design strategies, the incorporation of educational visual content, collaboration with health professionals, effective distribution, and the use of content interactive and multimedia. These recommendations are intended to maximize the impact of the magazine and encourage greater awareness and adoption of healthy and safe practices in Cuenca.
