Diseño e implementación de una aplicación web para la automatización de procesos en el Laboratorio Clínico AG en la ciudad de Cuenca, periodo Febrero 2026- Julio 2026
(Instituto Superior Tecnológico Particular Sudamericano, 2026) Lituma Remache Mateo Israel; Diaz Orellana Juan Fernando
Information management in clinical laboratories almost always suffers from manual processes that cause delays, data loss, and security vulnerabilities. The purpose of this study was to design and implement a web application to automate operational processes at the AG Clinical Laboratory in the city of Cuenca. For software development, the agile Scrum framework was used with Angular and NestJS technologies, under an evaluation design (pre-test and post-test) applied to the laboratory staff to descriptively measure the impact on operational efficiency and satisfaction. The pre-test revealed a 0% acceptance rate regarding the physical and manual methods being used. After implementation, the post-test showed a considerable descriptive increase: 100% acceptance in registration agility, 100% in data security, and 94% in the centralization and traceability of samples, mitigating duplication and typographical errors. It is concluded that the digitalization of the workflow, supported by a Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) architecture and a unified dashboard, greatly optimizes service times and strengthens medical confidentiality, significantly modernizing the laboratory's operations.
