Integración de los sistemas entorno virtual de aprendizaje y gestión académica del Instituto Tecnológico Sudamericano de la ciudad de Cuenca
    (2023) Jonnathan Mauricio Cajisaca Villa
This research project proposes the creation of a web application to integrate the Virtual Learning Environment (EVA) and Academic Management (SGA) systems at the South American Technological Institute of Cuenca, with the aim of automating the process of extracting grades from the students from the EVA platform to the SGA and improve the user experience. The project is divided into three chapters that are: Theoretical research on the importance and ease of integration. The exposition of the problem and the justification of the need for the project, and the practical development of the application. General and specific objectives are established, and a problem related to the integration of the systems is raised, such as the inconsistency of the information, possible human errors when entering or extracting information, and vulnerability in the data transmission and storage process. Exploratory and descriptive approaches were used to identify possible problems and propose suitable solutions to improve the integration of these systems. The project will use a mixed research approach, combining quantitative and qualitative research elements. This research shows the importance of integrating learning anagement systems and virtual learning environments, as well as the need for solutions that allow fluid communication between them. In this sense, the API prototype developed in the research can be a useful solution for the integration of different systems, since it provides a common interface for communication between them. In general, it can be concluded that the integration of learning management systems and virtual learning environments is essential to improve learning management and provide a more effective and efficient learning experience for users.
