Estrategias de difusión a través de un libro documental gráfico para la Fábrica de Confites de la Fundación Familia Salesiana Salinas
(Instituto Superior Tecnológico Particular Sudamericano, 2026) Guamán Vázquez Doménica Micaela
This graduation project develops a communication strategy through a graphic documentary book centered on the Confections Factory of the Fundación Familia Salesiana Salinas, located in Salinas de Bolívar, Ecuador. The research addresses a significant gap: the scarcity of visual documentation regarding cocoa and chocolate production processes, which have traditionally been portrayed through a purely commercial lens focused on the final product. The primary objective is to design an editorial piece that utilizes documentary photography and vector illustration to bring visibility to the history, traditional knowledge, and community dynamics underlying this solidarity economy initiative. The theoretical framework integrates visual perception, semiotics, participatory design, and documentary photography, employing a qualitative methodology based on direct observation, interviews, and photographic recording. Consequently, the resulting editorial proposal harmonizes image, text, and graphic composition to safeguard collective memory and strengthen the cultural identity associated with cocoa. This book serves as a memory and dissemination device that revalues the production process as an essential form of intangible cultural heritage.
